Terms of Service

The service is free

The parent app is free to use, no account required. You can start logging immediately and keep your log private on your phone, or sign in to sync it across devices.

Hospital staff may use the service if their hospital has a paid subscription. The hospital admin is responsible for compliance with these terms and any applicable data agreements.

Not medical advice

NuzzleNotes is a tracking tool, not medical advice or treatment.

The app helps you log and share information with your healthcare team. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always ask your nurse, doctor or pediatrician before making any feeding, medical or care decisions.

In a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Hospital tier

When a hospital subscribes to the nursing tier, the hospital and NuzzleNotes enter into a separate Business Associate Agreement (BAA) as required by HIPAA. The hospital’s admins are responsible for:

• •Staff onboarding and access control
• •Compliance with hospital policies and state law
• •Staff training on patient privacy and confidentiality
• •Data retention policies and deletion procedures

Acceptable use

You agree not to use NuzzleNotes to:

• •Abuse, harass, threaten or defame any person
• •Post illegal content or help others do illegal things
• •Spam, flood, or send unsolicited messages
• •Interfere with the app’s operation (hacking, malware, denial of service, etc.)
• •Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• •Violate anyone else’s privacy or intellectual property rights

Account blocking

If you violate these terms or abuse the service, we may block your account without notice. When an account is blocked:

• •You can no longer sign in or log events.
• •Any active hospital links are ended.
• •You have 30 days to request an export of your data before we delete your account (the hospital’s care records are retained per their policy).

Limitation of liability

NuzzleNotes is provided on an "as-is" basis without warranties. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of data, even if we’ve been told such damages were possible.

Changes to the service

We may change, suspend or discontinue the service at any time. If we discontinue the service, we will notify you and you will have the opportunity to export your data.
